Is it possible to get into investment banking without any experience?

September 13th, 2009

I want to know do you need to be an analyst with an Investment Bank or corporate finance manager the go to a top business school and get in as an associate. Also does your undergraduate school matter at all.

If you go to a good business school then your undergrad probably will not matter. What you did prior to business school is not necessarily an obstacle as long as you get into a good business school — for instance I know management consultants who then went to business school and became investment bankers.
