Study a degree in Economics and Finance or a more specific degree like Banking and International Finance?
Employers always always prefer a first degree in something solid like Maths or History. Banks and financial services companies select, hire and train their staff. They look for people to bring them qualities that show they will be worth training. The only valid way to learn finance is through experience, no classroom can teach you.
The option is always open to do a Masters in Finance or Business later, these use case studies to learn about good and bad decisions and their consequences.
I have lost count of the number of times I have been contacted by people with an undergraduate degree in something like Business or Finance who are very puzzled that the only jobs open to them are selling insurance. Do yourself a favour and make yourself employable by doing a real degree.
