If I write a check on Friday and they company says it takes one business/banking day to process…?

Is Saturday considered a business day in the baking world or would the check that they put through not be cleared til Monday?
Nope-sorry. Business days are Monday through Friday.

You have a 50/50 chance. Most banks are open and operational on Saturdays but it is not technically considered a business day. I have had both situations so it definately shouldn’t be something you BANK on!! Sorry about the lame pun.

most banks only consider mon-friday buisness days, even if they are open on Saturdays.
It sucks and it bugs me a lot, but I guess theres nothing any of us can really do. I hope everythign works out for ya with that

Business days are M-F, excluding federal holidays.

saturday is a business day in the banking world, but that check will only clear by then if it was put in by 2:00 p.m. friday

Most likely it won’t go thru until Monday because Saturday is not a business day…. but… if they put the check thru before 4 p.m. on Friday… then what? Friday is a business day.
Make sure to always have the money in the bank when you write a check.
