If I own a corporation, can the government put a lien on my personal bank account?

October 4th, 2009

I owe money to the Canadian government in back taxes, less than $2000. I plan to pay them back over the next 3 months. Can the government put a lien on my personal bank account while I am in arrears? Can they take money out of my personal bank account or put a hold on my personal bank account?

You bet they can.
