Do personal bank accounts appear in your credit report and/or chexsystems ?

And by that I mean like your personal checking or savings account even if you don’t pass a bad check or default in some way. Also, I’m not talking about credit card accounts or bank loans at all.
Yes and No.
Bank Accounts are not a line of credit. So as long as it is in good standing it will not show up in either your Credit Report or ChexSystems.
However, IF you overdraft your account and don’t pay it back. The bank will then put a listing in ChexSystems about the status of the account. Then when the bank charges-off the debt they will probably sell it to a collection agency. At that time the Collection Agency will put a collection listing on your Credit report.

No….just revolving lines of credit, loans and mortgages…also, collection accounts, judgments and filings for BK appear in your credit file.
Checking/savings are not part of your credit file…

There have been cases where a bank has reported a checking account to Equifax, Experian, or transunion. Many banks have their own collections dept and yes this si possible. Most times however they will charge off the account and turn it over to a CA that will try to collect on it.
